Iran Cinema Organization welcomes psychiatric assistance in movie rating

The Iranian Organization of Cinema and Audiovisual Affairs is to seek assistance from the Iranian Psychiatric Association in rating movies.

New regulations for developing an age-based movie ratings system has been introduced earlier this month as a guideline for the audience to identify movies with corresponding educational and psychological standards.

Accordingly, the Psychiatric Association announced that it is ready to help the organization in rating movies.

As noted by the Cinema Organization of Iran, the association is a council composed of experts in various fields and will begin rating Iranian movies this summer based on an age-based ratings system.
